Description
The SunRay is Uvitron’s simplest UV flood curing system, designed for direct, no-frills operation. It delivers uniform UV output across an 8 x 6 inch area using either a 400 or 600 watt arc lamp. There are no displays, no programmable functions, and no mechanical shutters, just a compact, self-contained curing head engineered for reliable performance.
Power is internally regulated to maintain consistent irradiance during use. A rocker switch toggles between full output and standby mode, reducing thermal load and extending lamp life during idle periods. An integrated hour meter tracks lamp runtime for proactive maintenance and replacement. The SunRay reaches operating conditions quickly and maintains stable UV output throughout its duty cycle.
The unit’s low-profile, lightweight design allows for flexible installation in benchtop, rack-mounted, or enclosed configurations. For users integrating into existing shielding or automation systems, the standalone lamp head provides a cost-effective solution. For environments requiring light containment and operator safety, a complete configuration with Uvitron’s curing chamber is recommended. The 600 watt model is ideal for thicker coatings, higher-speed processes, or materials requiring elevated energy exposure.
The SunRay is intended for production setups where simplicity, consistency, and footprint matter more than programmability. It is a solid, entry-level system for curing adhesives, inks, or coatings in controlled environments.
SpotCraft Tip: If you require programmable controls, built-in timers, or shielding, consider upgrading to the IntelliRay. We carry the SunRay for customers who need straightforward UV curing without the cost or complexity of advanced features.
