Description
The PortaRay is a compact, high-intensity UV flood curing system engineered for mobility, precision, and consistent output. It delivers uniform UV exposure across a 5 x 5 inch curing area using a long-life arc lamp, available in 400 or 600 watt configurations. Users can choose between a parabolic reflector for wide-area coverage or a focused reflector for concentrated intensity. Both reflector options are field-replaceable and optimized for specific curing geometries and energy densities.
The system’s internal power supply regulates lamp output in real time, minimizing drift and ensuring consistent irradiance throughout extended use. A built-in standby mode lowers lamp power during idle periods, significantly reducing thermal load and extending overall lamp life. With a warm-up time of under 60 seconds, the PortaRay is ready to operate quickly, improving throughput in short-run or on-demand processes.
Weighing just 3 pounds, the PortaRay is designed for maximum integration flexibility. It can be handheld for field or repair work, or securely mounted to fixtures, stands, conveyors, or robotic arms for in-line use. All components are self-contained within the lamp head. There is no separate controller or ballast to install, wire, or calibrate. Simply connect to AC power and begin operation.
Forced-air cooling maintains internal temperatures within safe operating limits, enabling continuous-duty cycles in demanding environments. The system is suited for lab-scale development, high-mix low-volume production, or field-service applications where full-size systems are impractical. Its compact form factor and industrial-grade output make it ideal for curing adhesives, coatings, or inks where space, portability, or rapid setup is required.
Note: This configuration includes the PortaRay lamp head only. The optional carrying case is sold separately.
